About Deb McKew
As a writer and a writing instructor, I believe that imagination and creativity need to be fed by inspiration. I am dedicated to providing my students a variety of opportunities for inspiration to occur.

In a workshop environment where everyone contributes to the process, I teach students of all ages how to be better writers and how to have fun with the writing process. Before a student can begin that process, he or she must be open to observation, experience, thought, and reflection. I encourage students to dig deep and allow their creative spirits to surface; generating ideas is the first step. Collaboration and feedback are critical steps all along the way. This not only works in the workshops, but in one-on-one instruction as well.

"Deb is an intellectual risk taker- she loves to learn herself and I can't envision a more desirable person guiding students through their learning."
